Making Your Own Trousers

3-4 May 2025, Bernina Palmerston North

Have you always wanted to try making a pair of pants, or perhaps you’ve tried before but found it tricky? This class is perfect for more intermediate sewers who are wanting to build more sewing skills. In this class, we will look at making a tailored fly, inserting slanted pockets, and welted pockets, and how to attach the waistband with belt loops. We will also look at creating a perfect fit on your trousers. There will be lots of tips and tricks a long the way, so come and join on the 3rd and 4th of May for this 2-day class.

Make Your Own Buttondown Shirt

7-8 June Bernina Palmerston North

Looking to grow your sewing skills? This class is a great chance to learn how to make a two-piece collar, insert a button wrap, make a fitted cuff, and how to insert a button placket. This is a great class for intermediate sewers to expand their skills or even enthusiastic beginners. You will need to be pretty confident using your sewing machine as this class has a bit of fine sewing skills, but still achievable for confident beginners. Best of all you end the class with your own shirt- made by you!
